Irregular verbs: English by topic
Irregular verbs do not follow the usual rule for the past simple and the past participle, so their forms have to be learnt. We have split them into parts: the most common at A2 (go (went, gone), see (saw, seen), take (took, taken)), the next ones at B1 (begin (began, begun), speak (spoke, spoken), lose (lost, lost)) and less frequent ones at B2 (seek (sought, sought), draw (drew, drawn), hide (hid, hidden)). Each card gives the verb with both forms. The A2 and B1 parts have exercises in which you put the past simple or the participle into a sentence. Learn one part at a time and test yourself with the exercise at the same level.
