Food and drink: English by topic

Words for food are needed from your first days in any country: what to buy in a shop, what to order, how to ask for the bill. At A1 the topic covers basic foods and meals: bread, cheese, soup, breakfast, dinner. At A2 it moves into the kitchen, to pans and cooking verbs, from frying pan and saucepan to to chop and to stir. B1 adds restaurants and recipes: starter, main course, to order, tip, takeaway, leftovers. The sets go from simple to harder, so they work well in order. If you can already name foods with confidence, start at A2 or B1 and test yourself on the words for cooking and eating out.
