Money and shopping: English by topic

Money and shopping are part of every day, so the topic runs through several levels. At A2 it is shops and clothes: receipt, discount, changing room, to try on, to pay by card. At B1, the bank and personal budgeting: current account, to withdraw, overdraft, mortgage, to afford. At C1, economics and finance for the news and for work: austerity, downturn, liquidity, disposable income, tariff. The step from B1 to C1 is a big one, so the C1 set is best opened once the B1 words feel familiar. The A2 and B1 words help on a trip and in daily life; the C1 words help you follow economic news and work with financial texts.
